Who we are
Prestigewatches (Pty) Ltd, trading as Prestige Watch Company, runs this website at prestigewatchcompany.co.za. We sell genuine Pagani Design wristwatches to customers in South Africa.
This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, known as POPIA.

Prestigewatches (Pty) Ltd takes all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users of this website.
What we collect and why

We do not collect more than we need, and we do not ask for information that has nothing to do with your order.
What we never see
We do not collect or store your card number, expiry date or CVV. Card payments are processed by Payfast by Network on their own secure page. Your card details go directly to them and never touch this website. Payfast confirms to us only that a payment succeeded or failed.
Who we share your information with
We share only what is needed, only with these parties, and only for the reasons listed:
- Aramex, our courier, receives your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel and contact you if they cannot find the address.
- Payfast by Network, our payment provider, receives the information needed to process your payment and to investigate a disputed transaction.
- Our website host and email provider store the data on our behalf under agreements that require them to keep it secure.
- SARS, our accountant or a court, where the law requires us to hand over records.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to advertisers.
Information sent outside South Africa
Some of the services we use store data on servers outside South Africa. Where that happens, we only use providers that offer protection comparable to POPIA, either through the laws of their own country or through a written agreement with us. If we source a watch from an overseas supplier for your order, we give them only what they need to ship it.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for three things:
- Necessary cookies keep you logged in and keep your cart contents between pages. The site does not work without them.
- Preference cookies remember choices such as your cookie consent so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read and where they leave. They are set only if you accept them.
You choose which cookies to allow when you first visit, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who asked for it. Every message has an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop order confirmations, dispatch notices or delivery updates, because those are part of the sale.
How we keep your information safe
- The whole site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Card data is handled by Payfast and is never stored by us.
- Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
- Admin accounts use strong passwords and login attempts are monitored.
- The site and its software are backed up and kept up to date.
No website can promise perfect security. If a breach happens that puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as we reasonably can, as POPIA requires.
Children
This site is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer have a reason to keep.
- Object to us using your information for direct marketing, at any time and at no cost.
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
- Complain to the Information Regulator if you think we have handled your information badly.
To use any of these rights, email theprestigewatchcompany@gmail.com with your name and order number. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can request your information.
